System Description

It is used as a component of a power conversion system consisting of several modules sharing a common DC bus filter capacitor. With several functions, it can control the armature of a DC traction motor by supplying a very large amount of current at low speed while consuming a relatively small amount of current form the DC bus. It is also able to operate as a brake down to very low speeds.
